Course Description


To incorporate a structured analysis approach within an organization, management must understand the benefits and approaches being used. This program provides an overview of the four day Business Modeling and Analysis class. The deliverables of both programs is the same, the one difference being the omission of hands-on-experience within this overview class. It covers such topics as:

Target Audience


This course has been designed for management, programmers, analysts, designers, project managers, and end-users who need to understand the techniques being used in a project. It helps the participant to understand the deliverable but does not provide the experience to create it.

Participant Objectives


Upon successful completion of the program, participants will be able to:

  1. Understand the necessary components for a successful implementation of structured techniques.
  2. Clarify the meaning of structured analysis and how it fits into the Systems Development Life Cycle.
  3. Participate in the review of the deliverables from the analysis phase of development.
  4. Understand the relationship between process modeling and data modeling.
  5. Understand the role of Data Resource Management.
